Good An Exposition of the Properties of Matter and their mode of action; the construction of instruments for the measurement of time; and a description of the Heavenly Bodies. Pages have minimal spotting or foxing and are very clean and bright. Slight foxing to endpapers, flyleaf with number, in ink, on flyleaf. Endpapers are marbled as are page edges. Sticker has been removed from inside front cover and FFep cracked to spine. Covers are slightly scratched and stained. Spine is decorated in gilt and has 4 raised bands. Corners and spine rubbed, bumped and edgeworn; but still in remarkable condition for age.
