D/J is clipped and is creased, chipped, very slight loss to corners and spine. Closed repairs to reverse with some spotting. No publishing date in book but inscription dated 1950.

Some bumping to spine and edgewear. Some chipping, creasing and tears. Some loss to top and bottom of spine and corners. No publishing date in book but, I believe, c:1950s, possibly early 1960s. Inside good, jacket a little tatty. Overall still lovely clean bright copy.

Good Plus Very pretty laminated cover. Black and white in 2 unequal parts. The black part shows a frieze of girls in various activities spanning the front and back cover. The illustration is in colour. Below black titles on the white background. There is a gift inscription from 1923 otherwise undated. Colour frontispiece and line drawings throughout. Some in the style of Anne Andersen. A few of the pages have a black stain to the inner margin. The page edges are a little grubby and have some pen marks. Unseen when the book is open. The endpapers are yeloowed. The cover is a little edgeworn. The corners and spine are bumped and worn. There is a slight split to the top of the spine this has been reinforced with magic tape.
