Good The pages are very clean and bright. The endpapers are slightly foxed. Not price clipped. The jacket is slightly grubby and foxed. There are several closed tears repaired to the reverse with magic tape. The jacket is slightly chipped. Now in a clear protective removable folder. A lovely book with beautiful illustration.

Poor Probably early edition, lovely decorative boards with brown cloth spine and engraved by Edmund Evans Ltd. Sadly, there is scribble through the book, namely on the endpapers in felt tip pen and on pages 24, 22, 15, 13, 12 & 5. There is also a slight crack to the binding. There is a name and address written in the book. The cover is slightly creased. The corners are bumped and rubbed. The cover is edge worn slightly. Reading copy only, please do not buy if you cannot ignore it's defects.
