Miriam's Ambition E Everett-Green Hard Cover, Blackie and Sons Ltd, London, Good Plus Very pretty early edition, first?. There is presentation inscription from 1904. The page edges are yellowed and slightly grubby. Some of the pages are browned slightly. There is a crease to the front endpaper. The frontispiece illustration has been coloured in. The cover is lovely with the title in a gilt block. The cloth is dark blue with daisies and flower heads and the black stems go down the cover to show fallen petals. The design is the same on the spine. The corners and spine are bumped and worn. The reverse is slightly grubby. Price:

Page ends grubby. Endpapers yellowed and grubby. Inscription, in ink, to FFep; this has smudged over to inside cover. Name Ken, in ink, to Flyleaf; this has smudged over to reverse FFep. Covers generally clean with some grubby marks and small stains to back. The spine and corners are bumped and rubbed. Spine worn to top and bottom, grubby. Some scratching and edges some discolouring. Slight lean. Cover is brown with gold lettering. It shows a young man emerging from a 'secret' door by the side of a huge fireplace.
