For most
of us our love of books and reading began in childhood. I found learning to read
very confusing and upsetting. I ran home crying when the other children could
and I couldn't. In the end my dad taught me. So I can really sympathise with
those children who are finding learning to read a hard struggle and those
parents who are trying to hunt down books to help their children.
Often the
books we learn to read with become lifelong favourites and that is why I list
reading books from across the generations.
